ThinPrep smears with the Imaging System
Cervical cancer is the first leading malignancy of female in Taiwan. The most effectively and easily protective method at present is to do the pap smears regularly, which can detect the abnormal cells earlier for doctors to treat the disease effectively in the early stage.
To do the ThinPrep smears with the Imaging System, the doctor will scrap the cervical cells and retain the cells in the specific preservation solution. Then, the staff will separate the cells form other interfering substances, such as other cells and blood mucus, by the micro-smear imaging system, and smear the cells on the slide to fix and do the detection by the computer. The detection of computer has higher accuracy rate than the traditional artificial detection.
